Text: Exodus 18:19-23

Moses must focus on this primary calling, which is to be the people's representative before God. He must also appoint capable and honest men to act as his deputies to handle simple matters, so that only the complex cases will be brought to him.
Wise leaders take care to multiply themselves in others. No matter how energy and ability one has, the load is always too great for any one person to carry. Moreover, no one lives forever.
Paul multiplied himself in Timothy and others, and then laid down the principle in his letter to Timothy. That's the act of leadership!
