Topic: The Results of Insolence
Text: Numbers 16:1-4

Today’s text illustrates the results of insolence. Insolence here refers to disrespect of authority. Korah, a Levite, and others challenged Moses' authority by questioning his leadership and accusing him of self-exaltation. As a result, the earth swallowed them and fire consumed 250 men offering incense and a plague killed 14,700.
The text serves as a warning against insolence, highlighting the importance of respecting God-appointed authority. We can do this by respecting God-ordained authority and submitting to God-appointed leaders in humility.
Let’s all refrain from being insolent to authority God has placed over us.
