Topic: The Choice of Leaders
Text: Judges 9:7-15

The passage describes how Abimelech, the son of Jerubbaal, lobbied his relatives from Shechem to convince the people to make him king. The choice of Abimelech brought trouble to the people.
Do not choose someone as a leader just because he comes from your tribe or is a relative or friend but choose a leader based on his character and competence.
As we go to the polls in December, we must be careful not be swayed by nice words. We must choose wisely because there are consequences with choices. Wrong choices at the polls will not auger well for Ghana.
