Topic: Warning against Hypocrisy
Text: Isaiah 29:13-16
"A hypocrite is a person who pretends to have certain beliefs about what is right, but who behaves in a way that disagrees with those beliefs. In the passage, we see how the the wisdom of wisemen will perish because the people worship God with their mouths and lips whilst their heart is far from him.
The Lord hates hypocrisy and will punish hypocrites. Ananias and Sapphira died as a result of hypocrisy. We need to be truthful and shun hypocrisy. God’s impression about us can't be changed by what humans think about us. God's view is the most important, and that is what we must be concerned about.
